Manager or leader? And why do you have to be both?

Assuming a managerial position in a team is not exactly leading. "Manager" and "leader" are terms widely used in the business world, sometimes interchangeably, but,  what is the difference?

According to John Kotter, a professor at Harvard Business School, managing is about responding to complexity. Planning, budgeting and recruiting are tasks of a manager. Whereas leadership according to Kotter is about responding to change. Setting a direction, aligning the team and providing motivation are tasks of a leader.

Campus Life

Once admitted to INCAE, MBA students move to campus to reside during the study period. The campus becomes home to young people who enroll in the master's program.

The dynamics of living in shared houses with their peers makes social interaction transcend beyond the classroom. Similarly, both venues have ideal spaces not only for study, but also for recreation and various sports.

The dining room service is an included benefit for all students. It is available for lunch and dinner on weekdays and for lunch on Saturdays.

Those students who enter the master's degree with a spouse and family have the opportunity to stay in a house exclusively for them.
