We look for the best technology-based startups in the region with a validated prototype, global approach in early stages of development.
This year we also open the call for SMEs that are working on an innovative project with the aim of scaling their businesses.
What is it?
For 7 years, INCAE's Center for Entrepreneurship has been given the task of seeking out outstanding Latin American entrepreneurs to train them and grant them non-reimbursable prizes for their business. This year will not be the exception.
We focus on technology-based Startups that want to take their business ideas to the next level and SMEs that are developing innovative projects.

INCAE Entrepreneur Award stages
Acceleration Stage
Up to 80 entrepreneurs from Latin America will be selected to participate -free of charge- in our INCAE Labs virtual workshop. This program, which has been designed by the Entrepreneurship Center and is taught by INCAE faculty, seeks to provide the founders of technology-based Startups and founders of SMEs with innovative projects with the tools to run their businesses to the next level.
At the end of the program, those founders who meet the approval requirements will be able to participate in a qualifying DEMO DAY, in which they will present their Sales Pitch and the 10 finalists will be selected to advance to the INCAE Entrepreneur Award Sales Pitches competition with based on the following criteria:
- Value proposal
- Business model
- Scalability and growth potential
- Team
- Sales pitch
Sales Pitches and Awards Stage
The top 10 certified INCAE Labs companies will be able to participate in the INCAE Entrepreneur Award Sales Pitches competition in person in Panama. One participant per team will give their Sales Pitch in front of a jury made up of investors, practitioners and members of the Entrepreneurship Center team. Among them, the two best companies that will receive non-reimbursable funds for their business will be chosen.

Mentoring stage
The winning startups will receive mentoring from experts from the Alumni Mentor Network, who will be able to guide them in their growth process for 3 months after being named winners.
