Methodology

The face-to-face methodology will be developed in a practical and experiential way. It combines case analysis, simulations, group discussion and readings. Each session will allow the participant to immediately put into practice all the concepts acquired.

    He specializes in the areas of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and was Dean of INCAE Business School from 2001 to 2007. He currently leads the Steve Aronson Chair of Strategy and Agribusiness and is the Academic Director of the Executive MBA (EMBA) and the Senior Management Program.

    Octavio Martinez
    Academic Co-Director

    Director of CLACDS at INCAE Business School. Professor of business strategy. Consultant in strategy formulation and implementation. He has a Ph.D. in business strategy from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. He has an MBA with high distinction from INCAE and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering (Cum Laude) from the American University.

  • Niels Ketelhohn
    Teacher

    Professor of Strategy and Competitiveness at INCAE. He obtained his Ph.D. from Harvard, where his research was supervised by Prof. Michael E. Porter. He has a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Costa Rica. Research associate at the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School, and has been an adjunct professor at Tufts University in Boston. He was dean of INCAE's master's programs and was director of the INCAE Research Center.

    Professor Carla Fernández Corrales obtained her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, she completed graduate studies in Industrial Engineering and obtained with honors an Academic Master's Degree in Computing and Informatics, both from the University of Costa Rica.     Dr. Arnoldo Rodríguez is an associate professor at INCAE in the areas of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Control. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. Likewise, he is a graduate of INCAE's master's degree. Professor Rodríguez is the Director of INCAE's Master's program in Analytics, Innovation and Technology (MAIT).
