    21/03/2021. It is with great regret that we share the sad news of the death of our beloved teacher Guti. We accompany his wife, children, and grandchildren in the face of this irreparable loss.

    Full professor at INCAE, he taught courses on Macroeconomic Analysis, Business Finance and Economic Policy. He was the Academic Director of INCAE's Business Leadership in Development Program. He was a professor at the University of Costa Rica. Dean (1991-1994) and Director of the Master in Business Economics (1987-1990) for the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS INCAE). He was president of the Central Bank of Costa Rica, Minister of Finance, governor for Costa Rica for the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Central American Bank for Economic Integration.

Luis Noel Alfaro Gramajo

Academic, consultant and businessman of Guatemalan nationality. He has been an academic director and professor in different executive training programs aimed at the private, public and non-governmental sectors.

Robert Artavia

President and founder of Roberto Artavia Consultoría Internacional; President of Viva Trust, the largest productive-philanthropic trust serving Latin America and of Fundación Viva Idea, an organization for knowledge management on issues of strategy, leadership, social responsibility and sustainable development.

He is president of the Board of Directors of INCAE Business School; he chairs the Board of Directors of Fundación Marviva; the Board of Directors of Mapfre in Costa Rica and the Board of Directors of Fundación Victoria in Nicaragua.

Juan Carlos Barahona is an associate professor of technology and innovation management at INCAE, the leading business school in Latin America, where he also serves as the academic director of executive master's degrees in marketing and digital transformation.

Stephen R. Brenes

He specializes in the areas of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and was Dean of INCAE Business School from 2001 to 2007. He currently leads the Steve Aronson Chair of Strategy and Agribusiness and is the Academic Director of the Executive MBA (EMBA) and the Senior Management Program.

Silke Verena Bucher

Assistant Professor with a specialization in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organizational Change from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He completed his post-doctorate in the Chair of Strategic Management in Pluralistic Environments at HEC Montréal, Canada.

Arnold Camacho

Got a Ph.D. in Finance and Development, and an MA in International Economics from Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering of the Costa Rica university, with Graduation of Honor.

He is a Full Professor at INCAE Business School, in the area of ​​Currency, Banking and Finance, Financial Institutions and Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, Evaluation and Risk Management.

It also has the Stock Operator License in the Variable Income Market, Options and Futures Market, and the Clearing House of the Madrid Stock Exchange, Spain, granted by the Instituto de Bolsa y Mercados Españoles (BME).

Maria Elena Carballo

Professor María Elena Carballo, a native of Costa Rica, obtained a doctorate in Literary Studies and a master's degree, both from Brandeis University, in the United States. His doctoral thesis was on "The Autumn of the Patriarch" by García Márquez, and the Spanish-American novel of the dictatorship.

Susan A Clancy

Susan Clancy - Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Harvard University - uses her applied research background to help individuals maximize their leadership potential and organizations respond to human problems with effective policies, products, and services. 

As a professor at INCAE, she teaches courses in leadership, gender diversity, team processes, ethics / anti-corruption, and influence techniques.
