Biography
Susana Sala is currently the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Americas at Viacom, where she joined in March 2018. She is in charge of Latin America, Canada and the US Hispanic market under the Viacom International organization. Previously, she worked for Bacardi for nine years, holding leadership positions in HR locally, regionally and globally, including HR Director for Spain, Vice President of HR for the Latin America region and the Caribe and VP of Global HR Transformation Prior to Bacardi, she was HR Director for a 20.000-employee retail company in Spain and also held different HR positions at Earthgrains, Anheuser's Food Division Bush, based in Spain and the US.
Born in Barcelona Spain, she has a degree in Economics and an MBA from ESADE.
Susana is recognized for being a true business partner, driving performance by understanding the business and aligning the HR strategy with the vision of the company. Strategic thinking with a pragmatic approach and recognition of diversity in all geographies make Susanna a credible leader capable of building long-term relationships of trust at all levels of the organization.
Always actively involved in ESADE, one of the best Business Schools in Europe, Susanna has collaborated as an MBA and Executive Education professor for more than 10 years.
Susana is also a Certified Professional Trainer from the University of Miami and firmly believes that each individual has the potential to achieve their dreams. She made a personal decision to use her experience as a coach to serve underprivileged women. She is the co-founder of “Sunflower,” an initiative that helps women transition from the prison system to society.
