Biography

A German and Swiss national, Silke Bucher is an Assistant Professor at INCAE Business School with a specialization in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. After completing his Master of Science in Business Administration at the Eichstätt-Ingolstadt Catholic University, Germany, he obtained his Ph.D. in Organizational Change from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He completed his post-doctorate in the Chair of Strategic Management in Pluralistic Environments at HEC Montréal, Canada. She was a team leader and expert consultant for organizational culture at McKinsey & Company, Costa Rica. Until now, his research has focused on organizational change and cross-group collaboration, with a particular interest in the health sector.

Work experience

Before joining INCAE Business School as an Assistant Professor, Silke Verena Bucher gained international experience working in different countries including Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, and Costa Rica. Post-doctoral fellow in the Chair of Strategic Management in Pluralistic Environments at HEC Montréal, Canada, and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

She worked as a team leader and expert consultant for organizational culture at McKinsey & Company, and as an internal consultant at Gardena International, Germany, with a focus on process improvement.

Until now, his research has focused on organizational change and collaboration between groups with a particular interest in the health sector. He did longitudinal studies on change initiatives in hospitals, and worked as a coach for interprofessional teams. His motivation is to make organizations increasingly better places to work, with the ability to offer sustainable excellence in services, products or impact for society more in general. His work was published, among others, in Organization Science y Organization Studies.
