Biography

Consultant in international corporate development, expert in governance processes, organizational culture and family businesses. He has more than four decades of experience as a strategic planner, developer and implementer of programs in the private sector in more than 10 countries in North America and Latin America, holding positions on boards of directors and leadership positions in companies in 6 different industries, including companies such as : Citibank, Bank of Chicago, Grupo Fratel and Agrisal.

He has specialized in corporate governance initiatives and succession processes, professionalizing large family corporate groups.

In addition, he has been a strategic advisor to multiple company boards of directors
regional companies and currently works as a senior consultant for important mergers, acquisitions and processes in family companies. He is an associate of NEXUS, a corporate financial consulting company, and of Control Union for El Salvador and Honduras, an international company that provides certification, consulting, inspection and guarantee services.

He is recognized for his extensive experience in multilateral development organizations and international commercial banks. He served as representative of Central America on the Boards of Directors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. He was an economic policy advisor at the highest levels of government, working on the design, negotiation and execution of economic and social development programs.

He has been a teacher and guest lecturer since 1996 at INCAE, Escuela Superior de Negocios (ESEN) and the University of Michigan in various international venues and events.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Central American University and an MBA from the Sloan School at MIT University.
