Biography

Mauricio Jenkins, full professor, obtained a Ph.D. with a specialty in International Economics and Finance, and a Master's in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University. In addition, he obtained a Master of Business Administration with distinction from INCAE Business School and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Costa Rica.

He teaches courses in the areas of finance and international business for students of the Master of Business Administration, as well as in numerous executive seminars on company valuation, investment portfolio management, treasury management, investment projects and financing structuring in countries. such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

In the professional field, Professor Jenkins has served as a consultant for the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), the Government of Costa Rica, and important business groups in the region, mainly on issues of business valuation and project evaluation. investment, as well as in the development of financial strategies of various companies.

Work experience

Mauricio Jenkins obtained a Ph.D. with a specialty in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University. He also holds a Master's Degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, an MBA with distinction from Incae, and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Costa Rica.

In 1994 the United States government awarded him the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to carry out his doctoral studies. He is currently an Adjunct PROFESSOR at the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE).

As a member of the Institute's faculty, Professor Jenkins has taught international business and finance courses for MBA students, as well as numerous executive seminars on business valuation, investment portfolio management, treasury management, projects investment and financing structuring in countries such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

In 2004 he was appointed Academic Director of the Senior Management Program, the most traditional program at INCAE, he was also Academic Director of the Master of Medical Management Program, a master's program taught jointly by INCAE and Tulane University.

Professor Jenkins has also served as a consultant for the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), the Government of Costa Rica, and important business groups in the region.

His consulting activities have been focused mainly on the valuation of companies and the evaluation of investment projects, as well as the development of financial strategies for various companies.

He is currently part of the Board of Directors of two important Costa Rican business groups.
