The Emeritus Professor of INCAE Business School, Nicolás Marín, originally from Nicaragua, specializes in the areas of banking, finance, international business and company strategy, and has been a consultant and director of industrial, banking and financial companies in the United States and in Latin America. He is the author of more than 50 cases and publications and is the co-author of several books, including: Analysis of Strategic Investments and Mergers and Acquisitions in Practice.
In 2013 he was nominated for Business Professor of the Year in the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) of The Economist magazine.

Nicolás Marín is a full professor on the INCAE faculty in the areas of Finance and Strategy. His academic and research experience has been concentrated in the areas of finance, international business and company strategy. Professor Marín earned his doctorate in business administration with an orientation in international finance from Harvard University and a master's degree in business administration from Tulane University. Previously, he studied industrial relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana de México. He is a consultant and director of industrial and financial companies in the United States and Latin America.
