
Biography
Dr. Ayala is a consultant and professor on issues of operations and supply chain analysis, risk management, decision-making techniques, and strategic planning for the private and public sectors. He teaches courses, seminars and workshops in Latin America, the United States and Spain. He has held various academic and administrative positions, and worked in the pharmaceutical, technology and government industries. Participated in the audit team for the Quality Excellence Award from the Governor of Puerto Rico. In his capacity as a researcher, he has published articles in renowned international journals. In recent years, he has focused his research on the study of resilience in processes and projects, including field studies in Latin American companies. Among others, he has the following professional certifications: Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Certified ISO31000 Risk Manager, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Master Logistician (CML) and Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). In 2009 he was awarded the recognition of "Fellow" in the American Association for Project Management.
