Ángela Mendieta, Legal Director of INCAE, is included in the Central America GC Powerlist of The Legal 500

• The Legal 500 are two of the most important Directories in the world that year after year evaluate the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world. 
• 5 years ago they decided to extend these recognitions to Directors or In-House Legal Advisors of Private or Public Companies.

Our Legal Director Angela Mendieta Arroyo, was nominated and also selected to be part of this select group of Internal Lawyers, the most influential in the Central American region, by being included in the GC Powerlist Central America de The Legal 500.

When asked about what this incorporation represents for her, she commented: “I feel very happy and proud to have been selected, and to be part of this important list, likewise, to remain committed to myself, the Institution and our region to work with the highest ethical and legal standards, which allows us to create a world in which our communities continually benefit from the presence of their corporate citizens. Ángela participated in the inaugural edition of GC Powerlist: Central America 2023 that was launched at Club Unión in Panama on April 27. This activity was attended by important Central American lawyers. The event was inaugurated by the Global Business Development Manager, David Freeman, together with the participation of Siaska SSS Lorenzo, managing partner of Arias Panama, sponsor of the publication, and that of the research editor of The Legal 500, who also gave a few words to the attendees. 

The Legal 500 has been instrumental in recognizing the in-house lawyers driving the business forward. GC Powerlist is a series of publications, events and networking opportunities highlighting the most influential in-house lawyers and legal teams in business today.

The Legal 500 ranking

The purpose of The Legal 500 is to help in-house lawyers and legal teams find the right counsel through law firm rankings and editorials, which are freely accessible on its website. Rankings are based on feedback from 300 internal colleagues, and access to law firm settlements and confidential matters, which are independently evaluated by their researchers.
