The transformation process that is only experienced at INCAE, put into practice on countless occasions by the more than 18 students who have passed through its classrooms, is made clear every day through their great work, as well as the tireless work of Impact Centers.

We have two very recent examples of this. On the one hand, the training process for 200 women business leaders who in charge of small and medium-sized companies contribute to economic growth in regions of Central America prone to high migration. They are part of EMPRO (Progressing Entrepreneurs), a program that, under the supervision of two INCAE Impact Centers – the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS) and the Center for Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership (CELIS) – seeks to increase income levels and the number of jobs in communities in Honduras and Guatemala. After completing their recruitment process, 40 women-led SMEs - in each country - receive support aimed at strengthening their skills and abilities to scale their businesses, create networks and access new markets.

Of course, this would not be possible without the support of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in alliance with three large corporations Cargill, Mastercard and the PriceSmart Foundation. .

CLACDS also actively participates in the Program for the Improvement of Public Procurement in the Northern Triangle countries (TEAM-NT) with the support of USAID. The program contributes to strengthening the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of public procurement processes at the local government level, through training and technical advice for the implementation of improvements in 24 selected municipalities in the three countries of Northern Central America. As part of the TEAM NT program, the capacities of social organizations in the region are also strengthened to better fulfill their mission in favor of transparency and social auditing.

This is how INCAE's most valuable asset –its knowledge– acts for the benefit of Latin America and does so by seeking to transform lives for a better future.

Thank you very much for believing in INCAE and that the new year begins full of peace, joy and prosperity!
