  • 80 entrepreneurs will be chosen who will be able to attend INCAE Labs, the recognized acceleration workshop of the INCAE Entrepreneurship Center, free of charge.
  • The 10 best companies with high scalability potential will be able to participate in the IEA Summit 2022, the award event where they can win non-refundable prizes for their business.

For 6 years, the INCAE Entrepreneurship Center has been given the task of searching for outstanding Latin American entrepreneurs to train them and award them non-refundable prizes for their business through the INCAE Entrepreneur Award initiative.

As in the previous year, the Entrepreneurship Center will focus on technology-based startups that want to take their business ideas to the next level. To be one of the 80 entrepreneurs who will attend -free of charge- the INCAE Labs Pitch! and INCAE Labs Launch, entrepreneurs must complete the respective form on the initiative's website.

“This year, the INCAE Labs program has been optimized to better match the needs of founders based on the stage of development their startups are in, whether they are taking their first steps in the market or ready to take the first leap of growth to new markets. Each program will have the participation of 40 entrepreneurs”, says Francisco Pérez, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship.

Among the chosen companies that successfully complete the workshop, the 10 best Startups will be selected, which will be able to compete in the IEA Su 2022, a virtual demo day in which a winner will be selected by category who will receive non-refundable funds for their business (Launch $7.500, Pitch $2.500).

The category Pitch! It is aimed at startups in very early stages of development, the requirements to participate are:

  • Be a Latin American entrepreneur
  • Have a founding team
  • Have a validated functional prototype
  • Preferably it should be a formally constituted company
  • It must have a technology-based and exponentially scalable business model

For the Launch category, companies that are a little more developed and ready to grow are sought. The requirements to participate are:

  • Be a Latin American entrepreneur
  • Have sales or registered users
  • The business and operations must be formally constituted
  • The business must have a founding team

The program, launched for the first time 6 years ago, seeks to recognize the good work of emerging companies that have the possibility of generating employment and wealth, thus boosting the economies of their countries and the region. The winners, in addition to non-reimbursable funds, will also have the support of a mentor who will support them for 3 months.
