Launch of Digital Checking Platform for MIPYMES in Nicaragua

September 9, 2021. We launched the Platform for "Digital Checkup" a tool that allows Nicaraguan MSMEs to know their level of digital maturity and receive recommendations to advance towards a greater digital transformation.

This tool was developed by INCAE Business School, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Fundación País Digital and aims to measure the level of technology adoption and digital skills and create a recommendation plan that identifies opportunities for improvement.

“The digital transformation represents an irreversible turning point for humanity. This process is much more than the simple adoption of new technologies. It requires a paradigm shift in how our organizations should operate in the face of consumers' increasingly digital preferences and needs. This initiative will help our MSMEs to prepare for this digital transformation process with a comprehensive approach ”, commented Octavio Martínez, Director of CLACDS / INCAE.

The platform allows evaluating eight areas of the company: communications, culture and leadership, data and analytics, strategy and digital transformation, people and organization, processes, product and innovation, and technologies and digital skills.

By answering each of these areas, the company will receive a complete report on the status of technology adoption and digital skills, personalized recommendations to increase the level of technology adoption and improve digital skills, and a record to compare results in the future.
