We celebrate the international recognition of our Executive Masters

October was a month of celebration for Executive Education. To start with, our Executive MBA entered the Top 50 in the world ranking of executive master's degrees carried out by Financial Times; Furthermore, the Inca family grew up with the graduation of 82 participants from our executive master's degrees and we had the first INCAE experience in Paris, from the hand of the oldest business school in the world.

In the middle of the month, the prestigious British media Financial Times revealed the annual global ranking of the 100 best Executive MBA programs in the world and placed the INCAE EMBA in position N ° 49, the best position it has had so far in this recognized ladder.

The EMBA was the highest rated executive master's degree in Latin America and, among the most significant achievements in the ranking, it was ranked No. 1 in the world in International Participants (with special mention), No. 15 in International Experience and No. 31 in Sustainability.

On Thursday, October 12, our Walter Kissling Gam Campus received with honor the graduation ceremony of the first generations of the Executive Master in Finance and Executive Master in Operations & Technology

“Each graduation has a different tint, each graduation shows us generations with a different soul. However, we all share something: an essence… they all want to help our region to get ahead, make a difference ”, were the words of the rector Enrique Bolaños for the 19 EMF students and 18 EMOT students who, along with 29 Global MBA graduates, received their coveted INCAE title that Thursday.

A week later, on October 19, our campus in Costa Rica was once again the headquarters of a graduation ceremony: that of the Executive MBA 2018-II

A group of 47 executives from all over Latin America, received their Master in Business Administration degree, after 14 months of international program and modules in cities on three continents.

INCAE experience in Paris

From October 22 to 27, INCAE took one of its programs to Paris, France for the first time, where students from Executive Master in Business Analytics they lived the experience of the international module “Big Data Applications”. 

The headquarters of the ESCP Europe Business School, the oldest business school in the world, welcomed the 35 participants of the program, who updated their knowledge and tools in the areas of shared economies, artificial intelligence, business models built on data, as well as the latest advances in the use of dating in areas such as energy, sports, transportation, and finance. 

The module lasted 5 days and included, in addition to the face-to-face classes given by the ESCP faculty, visits to Société Générale and Schneider Electric, companies in which students were able to see, first-hand, how business analytics is being applied to build strong and lasting competitive advantages. 

In the first, executives from the French financial company explained how the extensive use of data is driving the development of new products in the insurance area, based on which better segmentation can be made and, more importantly, can be designed products tailored to each individual. The visit to Schneider Electric, for its part, showed the advances in the integration of sensors and meters in buildings and offices that allow optimizing resources, increasing employee efficiency and promoting friendly practices with the good environment. 

The module concluded with an entertaining cocktail organized by ESCP colleagues, thus strengthening a relationship that will continue to bear fruit in future editions of the program.

Prepare for the challenges of 2019

During November, the Executive Education portfolio will offer renewed track record programs to provide the region's leaders with excellent preparation for successfully face the challenges of 2019.

From November 12 to 21, Colombia will host the initial module of the 2018-V edition of the Senior Management Program. This is the program with the longest tradition of INCAE, a leader in executive training for senior management in Latin America.

In addition, a new edition of our recognized programs for the development of the leaders of the region will take place in November. From 19 to 24, the second edition of the year of Leadership Management, a renewed Management with Leadership program, which will offer an innovative approach taught by experts, mentors and creators of the latest trends in the field.

Starting on November 26, in Miami, a new edition of the Women's Executive Leadership Program and Women's Entrepreneurship Program, aimed at women leaders and entrepreneurs who need to strengthen the key competencies for success in their businesses, management committees or boards of directors.
