Library System (SIB)

SIB's Mission is to support INCAE's teaching and research programs. It was formed with the assistance of the Baker Library at Harvard Business School. It is made up of two information units, one at the Walter Kissling Gam Campus, in Alajuela, Costa Rica, and the other at the Francisco de Sola Campus, in Managua, Nicaragua. Both Libraries share the web catalog, databases and other information resources.

INCAE's first library began in 1968 at the CFDS, with 459 books selected by librarians from the HBS Baker Library. In 1970 Laurence J. Kipp, director of the Baker Library, visited INCAE and formulated guidelines for the future development of the library.
